These may or may not be analogous, and I have considered alternative citizenship, but I also had off switches on most everything in my life, or certainly not having to use the on switches, I retain my right to free will.

Easy! People tend to use their physical beauty to get all competitious for their 15-minute fame and boost their ego.

What is even more fake and sad is that in order to be a model, they got to feel you got physical looks to perfection, and well, I would not have a chance, and my 5’3" height has not much to do with it! I can be taller, and though I’m 60 pounds over, I would not even get looked at for a split second to be a plus-size model ( however, I don’t have to wear plus size clothing, fortunately). But then, I got better things to do than anything that requires shallowness. Life is too short for that!

Yeah, they probably know it's scripted. Becoming a model isn't their dream, it's getting on TV, becoming 'famous', and making money.

I can’t stop laughing 5’7" or shorter this time..does this mean I have a chance? So…let’s see Tyra, have partially dressed women have their photo taken and tell us it’s not a show that stereotypes women. Say it like it is.
Though I can’t figure out for the life of me what this brawl could be about.

I suppose they believe they may have an opportunity to get on the fast track to wealth and fame by winning one of these reality show competitions. I guess that after reading the article you posted that people are are desperate to get that chance. If we were to really think about it look look at a lot of situations where large crowds gather and there is a chance for the mob mentality to break out. I think most people realize that the supposed reality is scripted and edited for view ratings and interest.However I think that the people know the show may be fake they just want the chance for fame, viewers just want entertainment.Take care.

The lure of money and fame is more than some people can resist.
One might also wonder why anyone watches shows like this.
Oh yeah, now I remember…they’re just about the only thing the networks put on these days.
